“How You Doing?” Well, Wendy Williams is not doing well. The former Queen of Daytime TV ( title not up for debate) joined the Breakfast Club with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious to voice her concerns with her conservatorship and the latest pop culture news. Needless to say, the interview was heartbreaking.

For starters, Wendy Williams sounded great, and not at all did she sound incapacitated. William’s niece, Alex Finnie was on the phone during the interview as well to cover her aunt from speaking on any legal situation and chimed in saying, “But I think that the thing we can talk about is the fact that my aunt sounds great. I’ve seen her in a very limited capacity, but I’ve seen her, we’re talking to her. This does not match an incapacitated person”.

Wendy William’s Emotional Description Of Guardianship

Williams spoke out about how she felt “trapped” because of her guardianship. “I am not cognitively impaired, but I feel like I am in prison. I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s. There’s something wrong with these people here on this floor”.

Isolation

According to Williams, she does not access to a cellphone or laptop and is not allowed to go outside for a walk. Williams claimed that the system is “broken” and that she is going through “emotional abuse” while staying in a New York facility that focuses on cognitive issues.

During the interview, Fannie also mentioned that Wendy Williams may receive backlash from her conservatorship for speaking out about her life in New York. The repercussions may include taking away William’s opportunity to visit her 94-year-old father.

What’s Next?

Wendy Williams definitely did not sound incapacitated on the Breakfast Club, and it was heartbreaking to hear and see the interview. Conservatorships are hard to break out of, but not impossible. Britney Spears was in a conservatorship for more than 13 years before she was released, and fans say she was only released because they fought for her freedom online and by holding public protests. The Breakfast Club interview definitely opened a door for Wendy Williams, and let’s hope its towards her freedom. pronounced during the 2007 strike, leaving the genre exposed.
